Do you mean commands for the command prompt?

Me handing you a list wouldnt teach you it, rather its probably best if you look up an online tutorial.

For MS-DOS, here's a few basic ones:

cd XXXX Change Folder to XXXX
cd.. Go up one level
copy XX.XXX c:\dirname copy's file XX.XXX to c:\dirname\
del XX.YYY deletes file XX.YYY
move
edit
xcopy

and there's a myriad of others, hope that gets you started :-)

mostly they're simply apps on the boot disk if you're referring to Format.com :-)

Cheers

To be honest, I wouldnt bother 'learning' DOS, you need it so infrequently these days, that you are better off simply finding a text file listing the commands and look them up if and when you need to...

Chilling lists the basic ones, however cd<anything> is actually all the same command.

cd XXX will change to directory XXX, but XXX must be a sub directory within the current directory.

cd\XXX also changes the directory, however XXX must be the full path name excluding the C:\

. and .. are special identifiers in DOS, . refers to the current directory, and .. refers to the root directory one level up.

A lot of commands will accept the /? switch and give you a list of options.
