The drop down menu in IE - file -open - provides, after your begin typing the net address required, a list of options from earlier visited sites. How can I delete or edit these addresses. I seem to think I may have done it before from a PC World article but can not now find it. Love each month's mags. Thanks

Hey
You can delete them via Internet Explorer > Tools > Options
In the General Tab click Clear History

Hi Cyberchuck....well not so simple. Your fix certainly cleared some but not all. Why would this be and how to I clean the system in total? Thanks.

Depending on your OS you might simply have to do it again until all history items are gone. 98se is known for not always removing history and autocomplete straight off. (Had the prob myself.) And you can to Tools/Internet options/Autocomplete and disable the Autocomplete function.

Right-Click on your Start Menu and click Properties

Click on the second tab across and then click on Clear next to the Recycle Bin Icon :-)
