When launching my burning software ie. B's Recorder Gold, I get the error message :ASPI manager not installed" explanation - Connect SCSI board and ensure neccessary drivers are installed.

I've checked all connections and jumper setting and they are all OK. The packet writing software writes to CD-RW ok and I can read from both CD drives.

Everything was working fine for a time but not now.

What Operating System are you using?

I think anything before Win2k you need to install ASPI.

ASPI layer is available from Adaptec.
It is usually a well needed driver for CD-ROM's in these situations, certainly speeds things up too!

I assume Microsoft don't supply it as it is Adaptec's blood they would have to take & Adaptec is pretty damned powerful in the hardware market!
