Does it mean something to do with copy protected to other cdr?

as far as cd burning goes its usually used when you copy a cd and only have a cd writer(ie don't have a 2nd cd drive to copy from). you make an image of the cd you want to copy and then that image is then burnt to cdr.

uh....Emulation is where a virtual drive is set up,which you can then mount an image of a cd on,and then the software drive "emulates" the copy protection such as safe disc so the program can be installed or run.

In the old days, it meant that you could copy the CD's contents to your hard drive, and use a CD emulator to fool the CD protection into believing that you had an actual CD disk, inside your CD drive.

When burning a CD emulation can be used if you're wanting to make it a bootable CD.
