View Full Version : MS Access 2

Fortunately it has been unseasonably cold in Christchurch, otherwise the last 2 days would have been completely wasted.

I am running MS Access version 2 (because that is what the firm runs) and am trying to develop a simple(!) database to keep control of the litigation we generate. I have been trying to figure out a way of going to records easily so they can be modified.

The primary key is a letter/number combination generated by the accounting system. What I would be able to do is enter this combination as the first box on a form, and have the associated data for that record appear on the form. The staff would then be able to make the necessary changes.

Try as I might, I cannot figure out how to do this. Obviously if I know the record number of the record, I can go to that, but that is not a practical solution. Am I missing something fundamental as a result of too much Christmas cheer.

Is there a simple solution to my problem. Even a hint would be helpful!

I'd Put a 'Find' cmdControll Button on the Form.
