Does anyone know if those of us telstra-clear 128k cable users are going to be switched over to 256k? As I see looking at their web site that they are raising the cap on their 256k cable to 10Gigabytes from May 1st.

Looking at the price generator for popular packages (http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/products/packages/popular_packages.cfm) it looks like my triple package should drop by aprox $12 from May 1st.
Note the link for prices effective May 1st.

Cheers Steve

The letter I got yesterday from Telstra Clear on their new pricings makes no mention of the 128kbps plan, but does say that the triple service price for 256kbps will drop to $91.90 + $17 modem rental and the traffic allowance will increase to 10Gb.

The assumption then is that they most probably hope that you will change over to the new plan rather than them changing you.

Hi Gorela, I take it you are already on the 25k plan? I signed up in November when 128k was still an option & they dropped 128k for new customers as of Jan 1st.

ooops.. should have read the small print.

2nd phone lines are available with the above packages and cost $23.95 per month (from 1st May 2003) for the Dual Service, Net Starter, High Speed Starter and High Speed Express Packages or $14.95 per month (from 1st May 2003) with the Triple Service Packages.
