Dude! That's less than a fortnight away!

I clicked thru the URL and read that review (Thanks to whoever for posting it!) and RH9 looks great, but Ive got 8 for now, so unless somebody can get me a copy, cheap, Im personally sticking with 8 for now.

I may be singing a different tone soon though ;-)

Also, Mandrake 9.1 has just been released. The screenshots of it look fantastic.

apparently if you signed up at redhat and payed them a little money, you can download redhat a week or so before they put the download on ftps.

Anyone pay them money? want to share your login with us ;)

I downloaded RH 8 and burnt it to CD, but I can't get it to install. Checked CD everything is there and I got it through first stage, with install floppy (can't change boot sequence on the Dell Latitude 266 that I use to fool around with Linux on - but install floppies work fine). So, I reinstalled Libranet 2 - goes well apart from sound although I can play audio cd's and I have to use a rural modem to access internet, cumbersome on a laptop, but works well.
Anyway, anyone else tried Libranet ? could be a good alternative to your Red Hats & Mandrakes and it's got the Debian apt-get facility - brilliant. Plus its easy to install, a way of getting the Debian advantages without the installation agonies
