Hi everyone,
I have downloaded Ad-aware 6, scanned my computer, and have 191 objects found (sheesh)
How do I find out & what is safe to remove?

Hi Baldy,
They should all be safe to remove. If unsure leave them in the quarantine bit & when you have lots of spare time you could search some of them on Google.

I agree - remove the lot! If there was something that was required for a program to work, you can always go back to the quarantined file and restore the offending item.

Or otherwise you could probably guess from the description of the item to what program it is associated with, and leave that object out of the removal list.

Happy deleting! :D

The only thing I have which could be included in the list is Kazaa. I should use Kazaa Lite, but it seems a bit of a hassell to install

You can simply have the program ignore that item from future scans if you wish to keep Kazaa.

I scan my PC each night if I have been having a big surfing session. Otherwise a couple times a week will do the trick. Don't forget to check for reference file updates regularly with the inbuilt updater facility.

I am new to computers, where do you get this Adaware scanner. Can you access it through goggle?
