we have win2000 professional and I want to password restrict access to some folders .The file system is FAT 32.Does anyone know a quick way or free software that will do this?

If you had made it NTFS you would not have had a problem.

There's a couple of things.

Try Folder Guard, and FProt.

Get FProt from http://www.mikkotech.com/download.html
This is great and shareware is probably wh you're after.

If you dont mind paying a wee bit more, then try out Folder Guard:
