Hello peoples,

I've been working on my website, and editing it using Kate, which is of course an text editor that shows me my html commands in different colors. Most useful.

The bit that isn't useful is these error messges that keep popping up thus:
message#1 (http://something.orcon.net.nz/f1/images/what-change.png) and message2 (http://something.orcon.net.nz/f1/images/what-change2.png).

I'm finding myself clicking "yes" several times till they stop, but then i'll get another set a few minutes later...

Is there anyway of stopping this?

Me confused!

my guess is that another program is changing the file or it's time/date stamp outside of the editor.

Well there is nothing else that should be changing the file, i do have it open in the browser window usually and refresh after each save to ensure i got it right... Whats the deal with the date stamp?

Between robsonde's suggestions, and me poking aroung the program i now have found the reason why kate was upset.

Because it was set on the default preferance
here (http://something.orcon.net.nz/f1/images/solution.png).

Note where it says "At Startup X Reopen files" i had these files open: as seen here (http://something.orcon.net.nz/f1/images/problem.png).

As some of these files were the result of me previously having a poke around the system files, they were of course changing regually.

I'm about to shutdown and restart kate, and hopefully kate will only open "index.htm"
