Dear Folks

An easy query I hope for the WORD experts out there. When Microsoft Word starts up, a warning message comes up, along the lines of "Microsoft Visual Basic - the macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to online help."

How do I get rid of this message permanently?

my guess from the limited information you provided is to.
Tools--> Options --> General --> "untick Macro Virus protecktion"

Hang on a sec. Before doing that, why is this message appearing? It sounds like your normal.dot has a VB macro on it. So unless you added the macro yourself I would scan your PC with an anti-virus software first.

Hi Rohan,

Some 3rd party software will add macros to Word's normal.dot file, when installed. (MYOB accounting is one of those). You should check what macros exist in Word by pressing Alt-F8 from within Word. If there is anything odd there, it might be worth posting back here in case anybody recognises them.
