If you can get at a PC with Windows XP Pro/Home on it, find the msconfig file and copy to a floppy disk, as it works in Windows 2000 as well. Put this onto the Windows 2000 system in the Windows folder and run it!

Hi CYaBro

I suppose it's asking too much if this XP Msconfig file is available anywhere as a download?

Cheers

Hi Billy

Msconfig can be downloaded from here msconfig.exe (http://www2.whidbey.com/djdenham/Msconfig.htm) or from here msconfig.zip (http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm)

Windows 2000 users should download it to C:\WINNT\system32. To use it, go to Start|Run, type msconfig and click OK.

I use Startup Control Panel from here (http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml) which is third party and covers just the auto starting progs from a few different places and backs-up the ones you may want to put back later.
