TV tuner cards do offer Video Capture, my experience is that the resolution is not very high though.

I have a Flyvideo 98 model (was sold by DSE) and it will record video from a VHS tape on direct AV input.

I use my Video vard however, which had Video In and Video Out (GF MX460) which gives much better results.

Not sure why you want to use a TV card, unless you are thinking of transferring via the aerial cable, which I would not recommend, as the results will not be all that good in comparison with AV or SVHS transfer.

You will need to capture the sound as well, using the line input to your sound card from the Audio out on the VCR.

Plenty of HDD space to save the file to prior to burning is required. Allow at least 1 GB per hour
