I am running Windows XP Pro and have trouble with the Daylight Saving Setting. The system time often "forgets" we are in daylight saving and drops back an hour. The tick remains in the daylight saving box.

I have turned off the internet time synch, hoping that would fix it. Nope.

Also affected is my Outlook 2000. No matter how many times I set the Time Zone options in Calendar Options to adjust for daylight saving, the tick very quickly drops out of the box. It is playing havoc with my meeting times as they move back an hour.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve these problems? Thanks

Is your Region set to New Zealand? If it's not, then when time synchronisation runs it'll be getting time for a different region.

Yes, all regional settings and time zone set to New Zealand.

At this, then, I would suggest to turn off internet time server synchronisation, and then see if it reverts back an hour. You can turn it off in one of the tabs for system time by double clicking on the time in the taskbar.

If it still goes back, it could be something in your BIOS, or, less likely, a flat BIOS battery.
