Hey all... running Win2k Pro, Asus P4S533.

Installed all the motherboard drivers etc after a fresh re-install not so long ago... noticed that the DMA wasn't functioning properly, so when I went into Device Manager I checked to see what was happening under IDE ATA/Atapi Controllers... Something called "Sis DMA Controller" was installed, so I uninstalled that and allowed the PC to install "SIS PCI IDE Controller" ...

All is well, and I've been able to get the options of "Primary IDE and Secondary IDE Channel" ... DMA is now enabled... The problem is that I'm unable to uninstall or disable something called "Ultra DMA Channel" ... There were 2, one of which was able to be uninstalled, but the other doesn't have an uninstall/disable function. This is causing a conflict with my "Primary IDE Channel"

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this problem??

Lo.

Have a look in your BIOS setup.
