My B.I.L asked me to look for his replacement PC, he has modest request, XP, 17" mon, Webcam, ADSL card? and a few other items, but no bundled hardware as they already exist at his home.

Is there a NZ site where I can go to Select from Tick boxes to makeup his PC. There was a site a few years back where you could do this, Ive looked at a few Online stores but nothing like this seems to exist.

Thanks.....John.

Computer Future here (http://www.computerfuture.co.nz/systems.asp). Click the "info" box on any system to get tick options. (These guys seem good to deal with)

Dell, here (http://www.dell.com/ap/nz/en/gen/default.htm)

And I am sure most hardware suppliers have a similar page - somewhere

Ascent (http://www.ascent.co.nz) have a "PC Builder" which is quite good. Can take a wee while to load it all on dial-up though. Click on the tab at the top of their homepage to get to it.

They are a very good company to deal with although they aren't the cheapest. I have heard that they can be negotiable if you ask.

Cheapest isn't always the best either. Sometimes you are better to pay a little extra for peace of mind, and a little extra customer service.
