Okay I have got a reply from www.pcessentials.co.nz for warrantee's on this Moniter (http://www.pcessentials.co.nz/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=PCEssentials&category%5Fname=Monitors&displayName=&child%5Fcategory=&subcategory%5Fname=&product%5Fid=MONLIKCRT17B&tree%5Flevel=1)
The warrantee is 12 months.

And I just got an email from our local dealer on a Moniter;

CTX PL7 17", Digital/OSD, .28DP, 1280x1024 Max, Monitor for 389 inc gst.

^^ Is that a good price? or should we stick with the pcessentials (pc company) moniter

Dude... $299 + GST vs $389 incl... you do the math.

If you want a cheap monitor, try looking at the AOC 17 inch one... Pricespy have one for $235.13 including GST.

You'll find that the PC Company moniter is INC GST :D

So I hope

Ok, it is including GST, but how is that going to be cheaper than an AOC monitor at $235.13 including GST?

If you want to spend the extra, then go for it. You asked for cheap, and I don't think the PC Company can get any cheaper.

DragonPC (http://www.dragonpc.co.nz) have 17" Flatscreen ViewSonic (White and Black ver) for $329 at the moment.

Cheap isn't always best, though - aye? Make sure you get something with a half decent warranty (at least 2 years on site). I think its worth paying the little bit extra for something which is a quality, bright monitor.

My opinion was price driven, obviously. If you want a decent monitor, i would take a MAG any day of the week. Paid about $300 incl GST not so long ago, and am more than satisfied with the investment.

Down the bottom of the website, it states all prices include GST and are in New Zealand dollars.

It's a PC Essentials website, not PC Company... dunno if that makes a difference... are they the same?? Wasn't sure...

This may not help and it's a long way from Whagarei, but the PC Company in Tauranga is selling second hand ones for $100 + GST.
