I have just purchased a nvidia tI 4600 that enables video capture. The file sizes are huge!
How do I convert the files to a divX format? What software do I need? What other questions should I be asking?
Thanks in advance.
Paul.

The DivX plugin - http://www.divx.com and get the non-spyware ed.

Virtual Dub - Im not sure of the address

A fast PC - Apparently for an average 2 hour movie, itll take around 2 days on an AMB Athlon XP 1800+

What speed is your current PC?

Another thing that you can do is reduce the framerate (FPS = Frames Per Second) 30 is usually fine for most video.
Also, reduce the capture resolution, the bigger the area that you caprtue, the larger the filesize will be!

Hope this help

hmmm it can be done quite a lot faster than that chilling_s.

All depends on what settings you use I guess. Have a look around http://www.doom9.org for guides.
