when you go/ system tools/system infomation/internet settings/internet explorer/cache/ list of objects..what does this list mean..
i have 5 entries in this list 2 are installed and 3 not available????

The "list of objects" refers to the installed updating utilities for such things as Windows Updates, Microsoft Office Updates, Macromedia Flash Updates ...etc etc.
These are utilities that update the packages (if installed) on your PC, via the internet.

- As far as I know anyway.

Do you have a problem in this area, (is something not working, or are you trying to make something not work) ?:|

just trying to learn
the two that are installed are
windows update and shockwave
the 3 that say they are not available are toogle toolbar and quicktime player the other one is just numbers

They call them "plug-ins" and are just little helpers that enhance features in IE or assist in executing requests, such as the updates. Not sure about the "not available" ones though.
