if its done as a domain name (in letters) it should still work, however if not, run "ping aa.whaatever.it.is" and you will get the IP (server address in numbers)

Let us know how you got on, and if that doesnt work, PANIC!!!

it's its DNS name.

Like instead of the 203.xxx.xxx.xxx

it is a sub-domain of whatever

>??? run ping?

yeah run ping!

start > run > type the following:
in the wee dos style window that opens, type the following:
"ping aa.server.address.or.whatever.co.nz"
note the gap after the word "ping" (obviously use the actual server address)

Pinging is sending a small "are you there?" to the other computer, that will hopefully be responded to in a few milliseconds (or a few hundred milliseconds if you are on dial up, or several hundred milliseconds if its an overseas computer)

Pinging will also reveal its IP address, you'll get an output something like:

ping server.address
pinging server.address with x bytes of data
1 responded 300ms
2 responded 267ms
3 responded 398 ms
4 responded 197 ms

I cant remember what OS you are using. The instructions are based on 98SE which i use, but are not going to be that different for other 'dozes

Hope that makes sense, i only just got out of bed so it might not.
