View Full Version : Word 97 - Table when saved loses formating

A table is created in Word 97, an example with 3 columns, 10 rows, then data entered in each cell, with this file saved as a *.doc.
On opening this document, the table format is lost and data is available line by line on the page. Without reinstalling Office, I am at a loss to fix the problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The table is not still there but with the gridlines hidden is it??

Just a thought, because I cant think of any other explanation :(

I can't think why it would be doing that either, but you could try renaming/deleting your normal.dot file in case it's corrupted. A search will find it and it will be recreated when you next open Word.
