so far i see very little change (i don't use alot of the features anyway) so it may just be a bug fix ver. seems to run ok at the mo.

i did run icq lite for a while. it does everything i normally use however it kept crashing after long periods.

Hmmmm new ICQ. How much more bloated than the previous one is it?

Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc) is by far the best.

Trillion:

How do you program it so as to appear offline to certain people, when you are having a one-on-one convo with someone else?

If you get what I mean.

And can you use MSN, AOL/AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! with it?

Of course you could always use ICQ2Go that is if you can get it to work! (http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/thread.jsp?forum=1&thread=28445#110949)

Yes, although I am a fan of Trillian, there are some things it apparently can't do. I used to use that feature of ICQ myself when I didn't want to chat to certain people, I could appear to them to be offline. Can't see how to do it in Trillian though :(

>>Trillion: How do you program it so as to appear offline to certain people, when you are having a one-on-one convo with someone else?

Easy: just set your Status to Invisible then double-click on the user you want to chat to and away you go. They can talk to you but can't see you online.

Another way: in MSN you can "block" the people you don't want to see you, and in ICQ you are also supposed to be able to put people on your Privacy "Invisible List" so they don't see you either. Not sure if that works or not though.

>>And can you use MSN, AOL/AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! with it?

Sure can! Trillian rocks! :-)

Don't rely on that - it doesn't work for me. :-(

I don't think trillian works with voice though, does it?

why would someone want to talk to someone. Typing is good enough for me.
