I have about 10000 images scaned in from photo album and I want to now make smaller versions of all of them.

anyone know of a program that will let me batch resize them?

I want each one to be about 100 X 100 in size.

file format is not an issue (thay are all BMP at this stage) as i can batch convert them to almost any format.

thanks for the help.

I have just the thing for you. Oscar's jpeg Thumbmaker will resize all images in a selected directory to whatever size you select, cropping if needed or desired. Get it here:

Credit to Susan B who I am sure advised this program a couple of weeks ago... I use it to create thumbs for web pages and it is a good free program.

If what want is to be able to print thumbnails of all the photos, a small and best of all free program called Vallen JPegger will do the job for you.

You can download it from their site http://www.vallen.de/freeware/index.html#Vallen%20JPegger

Hope this helps
