How do you find out what your IP address is?

Hi Baldy, try this:

To find out IP address: Start - Run - WINIPCFG

or go to www. network-tools.com/

goes off muttering about how CardFile needs a
damn good tidy up to find things these days

If you get your "Command Prompt" going, you can type ipconfig<enter>.

Two methods, Start/Run - type (sorry can't remember)
Start/Programs/Accesories - and you should see Command Prompt. It is a DOS shell that runs in windows - fancy that, in 1990(or so) it used to be the other way around. Once again, type ipconfig and press enter.
It should display your IP address, your subnet mask, and your default gateway.:)

I use Outpost firewall and run the curser over the symol on the task bar to get the IP
