I was given a TNT 32mb graphics card, and it doesn't seem to work. I don't know if it is not compatible with my system or if the card just dosn't work as it is second hand. I have a 366mhz celeron on a VB-601 mainboard with 196mb ram.

When you say "It doesnt seem to work" can you actually say what happens?

Assume its an AGP slot card?
What graphics did you have before?
Are you getting error messages?
Just a blank screen?

Redstorm,

You will probably need the latest drivers for your 'new' video card. As you don't say what operating system and version you use I can't be more specific. Someone else may tho.

it is agp. I have a Genius I740 8mb card in at the moment. When other card was installed there was no picture.

How did you go about changing it?

Uninstall software
set as default VGA
remove card
fit new card (will have a default VGA setting then)
install new drivers

If you just powered down and swapped cards, it will be trying to run with the wrong settings/drivers.

Which can be rectified by running windows in safe mode, Then uninstalling the old video drivers
then rebooting.
Is your BIOS info coming up?
