Anyone here have used any so called Internet Speed up progs? If so, kindly tell me do they actually work? And if possible please tell me which one do work :D

I'm using super dupa 56K dial up :D

Basically they are a waste of time, and an excuse for sneaking adware into your PC.

what os??

easy mtu and TCPoptimizer work ok (no spyware). all they do is adjust mtu /rwin and a few other settings. can help but it depends on the situation.

i should have asked what internet speed up progs you where referrring to. as there is the downloader apps which are very handy. perfer flashget myself.

FlashGet is A LOT better than gozilla

gozilla is spyware. flashget has removed the spyware and does the adverts internally.

I've there is very little difference in speed between a program, and windows normal download system, especially on dail up. However,
one advantage of using one is that it will resume downloads, if the
link is broken.

unless the uploading server is uploading it slower than your connection speed and you can find mirrors of that file.

I use netants if my d/ls are big. If my d/ls are under, say, 10 MBs then I don't bother using a d/l manager.
