Our router died and we have been off air all morning. The machine that goes ping, went ping.

TOYOTA!

And here I was thinking it was something I said.

Cheers, Babe.

Glad to see it back - been trying all morning.

I feared that Susan B's cake recipe posted here last night caused an sudden gain in weight causing the servers to collapse! :D

<phew> I thought it was me again - but this time I hadn't even done anything :p

Are you sure that someone at PF1 didn't try making that chocolate orange cake and actually put soap powder in by mistake? :O

No wonder the server didn't feel well...

Well, technically it was nothing to do with the server. The router died so we were cut off from the outside world - no email, web traffic, nada. The servers were happy as Larry, after all, they didn't have much to do. They were just sitting around in their shorts smoking and playing poker.

when exactly did this downtime occur??

I had some problems last night (around 11-1 and inbetween at some stage). It was hard to tell if it was your end or just E3 screwing up again :(

reminds me of the bad old days, standing outside a ghastly public toilet (busting)with a bent penny. Now you press buttons instead and hope the switches work long enough to let you out before the wash cycle.

I like locking them from the outside, so there's nobody in them, but it's still locked. Most have a timer set for ten mins, some more, some less!!!

You'll get squirted.

There is such a thing as karma. Your details have been noted Chill

My son goes in, presses the button, ducks out.
Sits and laughs at people waiting.
Devious little sod.

Hey Robo! I was thinking maybe the prizes should go to all those people who give brilliant advice and have posted over 1000 posts :D...

Oh look, it seems I might be one of those... <ponders>

Mike.

Nah Mike ... it has to be done properly ... like having a cake bake-off! All entries submitted to Godfather for judging (after all, the cake was in his honor for 2000+ posts)

Hi...

Explains why can't find server when I was on around 2.40 am this morning, yet other web sites opened...

Cheers...

Now that's a brilliant idea Jen! All cakes are to be sent to me and I'll deliver them to godfather personally. I don't think NZ Post delivers to his mountain cave, see.

<secretly gathers up packets of washing powder to sprinkle over all cakes except mine and Jen's>

Umm, how did this get so off-topic? :D

Are you favouring your own because you know otherwise you'd have no chance of beating the competition?

> Umm, how did this get so off-topic? :D

Was there a topic to start with???
