On a few new motherboards ive noticed some have a new 'slot' ive never seen before.
one is CNR and the other is AMR. Does anyone out there know what they stand for, and what they are for?
thanks

CNR = Communications / Network Riser
AMR = Audio / Modem Riser

They are alternative standards to the PCI slots. Seem like a waste of time at the moment though.

AGP = Accelerated Graphics Port
For Advanced 3D display. Now they come in speeds, such as 1x, 2x, 4x, and now 8x!

PCI = Hey, Ya got me there...
