View Full Version : windows 98 incompatability

06-09-1999, 07:40 PM
This year our ski club purchased ski timing software for timing ski races with the timing information directly linked from the timing equipment to the computer. The programme (Split Second On Line Timing) is a DOS programme.
The programme runs with computers with windows 3.1 and Windows 95 but not with my computer Toschiba 2500 running Windows 98. We have checked the com 1 port using the hyperterminal and the timming impulses are received into the computer but not into the programme.
Even running the programme in DOS does not work. Contacting the suppliers of the programme has not helped.
All settings for the computer were set as per programme and the same as the computers running 3.1 and 95.
The programme runs on my computer but will just not receive the data from the timing equipment (Tag Heurer CP505)

Have you any ideas what the problem may be?
