Smal wee boxes with white crosses in them!!!! Why? I searched the internet to no avail and have checked the show pictures box in advanced in the internet options bit.

Any help? Win 98 by the way...And it has been running fine until now.

On all sites or just some?

Some sites have incorrect linkage in the HTML and no settings your end will fix that, its a programming error at the other end.

If on the other hand its on all sites, your PC still pines for Dunedin...

Yeah unfortunately for me it's most sites.....maybe I should try some dunedin based sites as the machine might be homesick....

maybe it's an ODT virus, designed to make you use no other sites ... :D

Don't like stating the obvious, but have you done all the "usual" things: ie. clearing your internet cache, etc.?

Yup all that ....

ran adaware too...

When this happens to me usually I just refresh and it comes up good.

When this happens hold down ctrl and press f5 this will refresh the page, downloading a new one from the server as opposed to just refreshing the page from the cache.

Hope This helps

what browser do you use? and how good is your internet connection?

i've had a few problems with IE not displaying pics due to poor net connection. IE stops trying to load the pics if they are to slow to download. i noticed it mostly with IE6.

See what happens when you leave Dunedin......everything turns to mush. Try wearing a kilt. That might trick it LOL

Nope doesn't work for me but nice try anyway...

Anyone else?

whats your actual download speed (not the logon speed you had before)?

you could be getting large amount of packet loss.

also what size is your tempory intenet cache set to? might be a bit to big.

Well dunno what the problem was but three runs of adaware and three restarts and it's working.... i keep ya all informed...

Whats the easiest test for spped by the way?

i usually use a download manager that reports the speed and download of a good local site.
