Dear All

I have a wee problem with Outlook Express.

Every time I exit the program I get a the good old 'This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down' dialog box.

The first few times this happened, I read the message noted it an closed it with the intention of dealing with it later (The whole things been a bit flacky since I downloaded it, this was just par for the course).

Well silly me, now I can't even shut down the dialog box, it springs right back every time. Nothing works except hitting the reset button which gets a bit disruptive over the course of a day.

To get on with it, the following is the error message in all it's glory:

This program has performed an illegal operatio and will be shut dow.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

Stack dump:

I suspect that this problem is entirely my own doing/undoing. I downloaded ie5 and outlook express a month or two back and initially had so many problems especially with outlook that I re-installed (via the net)the whole lot again. I was left with what I thought was a pile of extraneous junk scattered around various folders. I deleted what I thought I could safely delete and left it in the recycle bin for a couple of days then put the rubbish out for good. I did take a note of what I deleted but, you guessed right, I can't find it.
