View Full Version : Incinerator Icon

I don't know how I've come by this Icon on my desktop.

Incinerator appeared a few days ago and is unmovable. No way of deleting it and when I run Adaware I come up with several items to delete, all related to Incinerator.

Clicking onto Properties tells me it's from Iola Technologies, but as far as I'm aware I haven't downloaded anything in the last few days that was connected to them.

When I click onto the icon I find that I can "open", "explore", "create a shortcut" certainly no "delete" Can`t seem to find any mention of it in Windows Explorer.

Appreciate any help or suggestions offered

I'm running Windows 98SE

Has anyone else been using the computer to download stuff, if so check with them to see if they have downloaded anything. I can't find anything relating to your problem on Google or Yahoo.

I found the site Iris - http://www.iolo.com/sm/index.htm The program that was downloaded was probably System mechanic. It uses the incinerator icon that you mentioned that has suddenly appeared on your desktop.
