Of course not. "test" threads should contain the word "ignore". That works: lots of answers. :D

Is it significant that the last posting yesterday evening was Mikes with his experiment? Did he manage to unhook the server from its http socket?
Shall we ever find out?

Come on, own up Mike :)

How much testing does one have to do Mike.

Mike,

Now you've done it! Strongly suggest you keep your games AWAY from the Press F1 server in future!

The large empty space was obviously needed.

I don't think so Terry. Mike had a really good go at cracking the beta forum and if he couldn't do it then he probably wouldn't now.

Anyway, how do you know Mike was the last poster before the forum went down? It might have been me.... :D

Well, Terry, I don't think it was this test that crashed it, but on I tried a couple of minutes later... so ummm... if Robo's reading this, I think he might like to find out what I did so they can set it so that it NEVER happens again... and trust me, I won't EVER do it again :)

Give you a wee hint Mike.

Go here (http://www.jivesoftware.org/jive/) and visit the forums creators forums. Might be worth a try there.

good idea :) <goes off to try it> although it's probably already been tried on them, so probably won't make a difference.

Plus I s that they don't have anywhere near the same amount of topics/posts so it may be more difficult just from that.

Mike,

Are you absolutely SURE that Robo wasn't just trying to spare your tender feelings?
