First.

1. Windows XP Pro : hangs while shutting down

2. New computer from Samcor. They reccomended, and installed a trial version of NOD32 virus defence. They also said we should PAY to get the full version. Since then we have got more viruses than I have seen in my life.
Are they trying to make me buy it by sending me viruses, and making me think I need NOD32?

3. Midtown Madness 1 : locks up and the only thing that works is the reset button.

4. I need a FREE web host for my site http://bloggsworld.5er.com
At least 40mb +

5. When is the Windows XP Service pack coming out?

6. Dunno yet. Look back here later.

Thanks

Try that patch for Win XP and it might solve your problem # 1

I dont know whats wrong with your game but the Win XP patch is coming out in couple of months. So i guess you have to wait for posts on problem # 3,4,6

I suggest you uninstall that NOD32 and go for Norton 2002. And if you dont wanna go down to DSE/HN/NL and pay for it, get a download from Symantec site for free trial.

And of course you know there are tons of magic codes floating around to make that nuisance 30 day trial, pop up window disappear into thin air and give you all year round protection :)

Cheers

Re your antivirus: Uninstall NOD32 that they are trying to sell you and pop over to

http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_index.htm

and download AVG. It's free and after over a year of using it and comparing it with Norton and McAfee I find it is right up there with the best. Just be sure to keep it updated. Maybe I'm paranoid but I check for updates EVERY DAY. Havent had a virus on my machine since I installed it tho :)
