Hi i am looking at buying a car, I remember seeing something about a website that tells me about the common problems for each model and year of car, I know this isn't exactly computer stuff but I justcannot find it.
thanks in advance

I don't need a website to tell me my car is a lemon...I know it is. But I'd be interested in seeing this site though...

buy the book "dogs and lemon" guide, available everywhere (and cheap), a well done guide for NZ/Australia

Just tell me what year / make / model / motor / gearbox / etc it is.

I'm a know-it-all automotive dismantler / website engineer / BSA so I know what parts break most often...

I haven't looked to see if I'm correct but I think you could be after the Consumer website:

http://www.consumer.org.nz

You must be a memeber of the Elite, Susan. I keep getting:

"The page you have requested is available only to Consumer Online subscribers."

Maybe not quite what you want and definitely in the wrong country ..... but take a look at this English site:

http://www.carsurvey.org/

Well ..... some of their cars do come here!

Nah, I can't get in either as I'm not a subscriber to the online Consumer.

I get the mag though which is how I know about them doing the article.
