View Full Version : Diagnostic Software for a sad HD.

Does anyone have a copy of 'Rescue Professional', 'Drive Pro', or 'Spin Rite' that I can use?
I have a seriously sick hard drive which crashed due to a power surge that happened while it was defragging. Both FAT tables are corrupt and I need a seriously powerful program such as those listed above to try to retrieve the data. The HD is compressed using drivespace3 so if anyone has a better diagnostic or repair utility for such a system please let me know.
The root directory of the drive is readable
(the non-compressed area) so there is hope) If I can ressurect the compressed volume I will be very happy.
