In the April issue of PC World there was an e-mail program ( Eudora Pro 5.1) what I would like to know is, can I leave OutLook Express 5.50.4807.1700 on the computer and still run (trial) ProEudora 5.1.
I'll only need to load the Lite mode because that is all I probally need. ( I Think). :D
Also what else do I need to do. I would like to free myself from MS but very limited funds. So free is best.
The system I have only came with Two Recovery Disks and an Applications Disk.
Win ME, 192 Ram, 15 Gig HDD 11.00Gig Free, 600 MHz Intel Celeron Processor.

Running Windows ME, put a restore point on the other day do do some tweaking, that was ok, but when I start Outlook Express now and click the Send/Recieve box, the first of two boxes appears and I have to wait 60 seconds for the "Connect to Box" to appear before I can launch the Browser to get my e-mails.
The "Connect to Box" appears straight away in Internet Explorer 5.50.4807.2300
Sixty seconds not that long, but it is when you are wating, it is.

So I though I would undo all the tweaks I done and find the one that upset Outlook Express, but I cound'nt find it, so I tried to do a Restore, but it wouldn't work.
I had heard that restore don't always work in win me so I Disabled the thing.

Any help please, ?:|

yes you can run eudora at the same time as outlook. you may want to make it the default email program.

you can use eudora in sponsored mode(pro ver with adds) for free.

there is a new ver out..5.1.1 http://www.eudora.com/
