This is the third attempt to post this - previous two ended in disaster as soon as I hit the spell check button. This time - no spell check !!!

Anyway... While just looking round my computer I was shocked to find that I had inherited around 550 cookies.

I do not want to disable cookies, as there can be an adverse effect when visiting some sites. But I wonder if there is a program that would munch the little buggers up as soon as I tell my computer to shut down.

That way, at the end of the day I would know that my cookie jar was empty, but of course it would be refilled the next day.

What are the pro's and con's of doing this and does such a program exist?

The forum is currently having some problems with the spell checker.

There certainly are programs that can manage your cookies for you. I don't use any but others will be able to advise you.

One thing you can do is go to your Internet Explorer security settings and allow "per session" cookies which get deleted when you leave a site and set "Prompt" for the others. That way you can choose which ones you want to accept or reject.
