Hi

I have a problem where i can't get into linux at all! I changed the part where you can boot 2 OS's. I put windows at the top to leave it as defualt but i forgot what the settings were for linux so i guess... and got it wrong. Is there any way i can get back into linux (or windows) to change it. I am running WinME and Linux Mandrake 8.1 download.

Plz help as i really liked linux and i would like to get it running again.

Did you make the bootdisk?

If not,

How far does the boot loader get?
Does the windows entry work?
How far does the linux entry get?

All the Red Hat versions I've used have had 'linux' as the response to Lilo's 'boot: '.

Unless Mandrake have 'improved' that, it should still work.

If not, read the documentation in the top level directory of your installation CD. You should have a 'rescue' boot option in that. Then fix up lilo.conf and run lilo again. Then make the rescue floppy ...
