View Full Version : Writing win help files

Anyone know of a useful/easy app that can be used to write Windows help files.

I want to write one complete with hyperlinks and contents/index lists etc.

Doesn't seem like it should be that hard, but who knows...

Bry,

I stand well in the light of correction here, but I think a number of the MS software development tools include such a feature.

The reason I say this is that I remember working on a project a couple of years ago where help files were required. The project was being developed using Interdev 6 (but it's part of the Visual Studio package). When we discussed it, a number of the developers mentioned that if we provided the text for the help files there was a function in Interdev that could create them.

I'm not sure if that's true, just that was my experience :)

Hmmm...

I don't have Visual Studio or Interdev, and wouldn't know how to drive it if I did. :)
I'll keep looking. I wonder if Frontpage or full version Adobe Acrobat has a function to output as a win help file?

Anyone know?

Cheers,
