View Full Version : Number formating in MS Excel

I am an engineering undergraduate, quite often I have to deal with number expressed in SI unit prefix, e.g. giga, mega and micro etc. I can manage to format number in scientific form. However, in this way you have to compute those numbers in your mind in terms of 'SI prefix' format. I think this is very inconvenient. My question is if there is a way to format number in Microsoft Excel 97 in 'SI prefixe' format, ie. number in power form and the power is always in multiple of 3.
