When I go into an audio cd and click on properties for a track it comes up with a size of 44 kb rather than the usual size of Mb's ??

And when I copy the cd to a cdr (via the hard drive) it copys this amount and no more so the whole audio cd I make has all the tracks etc but no content to each one, cd writer writes other info fine ???

The CD burner software that is built into XP does not copy audio. What you are getting are just the 'shortcut' equivalents to the tracks, not the tracks. You will need some third party software to achieve audio copying.

If its an HP computer (or CD drive?) then download RecordNow from www.hp.com. Otherwise someone will have a solution.

I see what you mean but shorley I should still be able to see how much space is used on the cd, when I go into my computer, right click my cd drive it shows the whole thing as empty??

Have chucked on nero to give it a try and when it checks the cd in the drive it gives the size of each track as 44kbs again???
