I purchased a new computer a few months ago with the windows 98 SE operating system. However unfornately the USB ports do not seem to operate. I tryed to fix the problem but with no success in trying to find the programe I used the usbview.exe program on the windows 98 SE disk I also checked the control panel to see if the drivers are correctly loadly. then I also deleted and reinstalled the driver but this had no effect. The USB ports are VIA tech 3038 PCI PCI to USB universal host controller, while the hub is called a USB root hub. I have also checked the USB cable on another computer and ensured that the device is correctly plugged in any ideas would be helpful. PS the hardware is OK because the USB used to work it is only when files where transferred from the old computer the USB stopped working.
