View Full Version : Linux modem driver

Well I finally got Linux working. I want to be able to connect to the internet from Linux (Mandrake 8.1), but of course I've got a winmodem... I went along to the Conexant site to see if they had a driver, but they've only got a driver for the HSF, and I've got a HCF modem. Has anybody managed to get an HCF modem going, and can you tell me how to do it? Its a bit hard to restart and boot into Windows everytime I want to look something up on the net about how to run something in Linux! Makes the learning process a bit more drawn out.

Here's a site that may have what you want.

If not just do a google search for HCF for Linux and that should bring up people who have worked with that chipset for Linux. This was how I found my HSF drivers for Linux before Conexant released their drivers.

Thanks for that Kame, got the file, installed it, but it didn't work, so I guess I'll just have to wait for the official Conexant driver.
