have you stiil got your initial hdd in ??
If you have and have not changed the jumper setting and you are running win 95 through to ME you will need to copy sys.com to your c: drive .

Get a start up floppy and boot up with that, at the a:\ type in sys a: c:
When you get system transferred try rebooting without the floppy..
If that does not work boot with the floppy again and type fdisk\mbr..
Check your bios that it is booting from the right hdd and make sure that the bios recognises your hdd , try setting it to auto

Have you remembered to change the jumpers on the old HDD over, to make it a slave?

Exactly *how* is it not booting?

There will be an error message. Tell us what it is. Please. 'won't boot', ' ... still doesn't work', aren't error messages.

Get into the BIOS setup, and see what disk(s) are recognised.
Tell us. Please.

If you have a bootable floppy, try 'FDISK /STATUS' .
Then tell us. Please.
