Is there any real point in upgrading from NAV 2000 to NAV 2002.
My current subscription for
Live Updates is due to expire
so I need to renew subscription or upgrade to NAV 2002.
Where is the cheapest/best place to purchase upgrade or renew subscription.

My current subscription has actually lasted over 18 months as I had to delete the hard drive and reinstall windows last year but I do not want to have to go through that again.

Thanks.

The biggest advantage in going to NAV2002 could be thatr 2002 will have a improved virus detection engine which would be useful for the newer virus's. One difference in 2002 compared to 2000/2001 is that you don't seem to have the option of automatically deleting infected emails which we have ours set to.

There is always the free AVG available from www.grisoft.com that seems to work just as well.

You can renew your 12 months with a credit card, about 10NZ$ if I recall right.

Try the above link minus the <> each end for information about renewing.

How much does it cost to upgrade? I just purchased 2002 OEM version with a hardware buy and that cost $60 and, at present, I believe my subscription if it ran out would be worth about $10.
I know what I would do if those figures are similar in your circumstance.

The advantage of 2002 over 2000 is that it will have a better virus detection engine. It will also have XP support.
