Maurice, if you are looking for a text file with this wording that is being displayed you will not find it. This message is generated by the system when you boot, and is telling you very clearly that it cannot find a file called symevnt.386, which I believe may be associated with Nortons AntiVirus (NAV).
Have you deleted NAV, or unistalled it recently? If you deleted the program(s) (as opposed to uninstalling) then try to re-install it and uninstall it in the correct manner.
To get the message to go away by other means will likely involve editing the Registry and/or some .ini files, a risky move unless you are sure of what you are doing.

Hi Trevor
Thanks for information.
Yes I had deleted the programes and not in correct manner.
Have been on a learning curve using Registry and Ini files.
But still have these text files on screen at reboot
Will try reinstall and the the message will not appear.
Do you use the Registry to delete unwanted programs or use control. Being able to control the registry seem a good tool
Regards
Maurice
