The power pack for my first computer a 386 HP Vectra assembled in 1990 is not working due to a cooked resistor. Is it posable to take the Hard drive from the 386 and place it into my Compaq Presario 2230 and download data that I have placed on the hard drive or is there a computer store that deals with the older PC's because the few stores that are near me don't stock parts for the older models and find other than the brands that they sell.
