A friend who lives in Porirua has been on zFree but now that zFree is no more I wonder what is the best deal around? She is a solo mum on the DPB with little $$. Of course she would like unlimited access but will have to accept a minimum hours per month account. Is there anything for around 10 hrs per month or less, with an automatic cut-off if the 10 hrs are exceeded (she has no credit card and is apt to go over the limit if given the chance.) Thanks.

I use Actrix and know that they have a one-cent-per-minute option.

You pay $10 at a time and when your 'meter' has run out you can't use your account until you buy another $10 worth.

There is a $2 a month account fee for maintaining your account, but you can use it as little or as much as you want. It's ideal for keeping in touch with your email contacts but not the cheapest option for surfing. You can pay by cheque or bank direct credit.

Paradise have two packages - $10 for 20 Hrs / month or $20 for 250 Hrs / mth.
Let's face it - 250 hrs a month is about 8 Hrs a day every day of the month!
I doubt that your friend would use over 8 Hrs a day all month.
At $20 that's not too bad.
