I want to lock my browser favourites and remember seeing a FREE program to do this, but usual story... when I want to find it I can't. I think it was called favlock or something similar but even when using Google I didn't have any luck finding it. Can you help? Thanks.

If you haven't already, try going to cnet download.com and look at internet, tools & utilities, bookmark managers.
There is a couple of programs starting with 'fav' youcan download but not sure whether thats what you want to actually use.

In my opinion, the best solution is for you to encrypt the entire Favorites (bookmarks) folder. Download 'Cryptext' from CNET.COM - download section - it is a free program and is easy to use. Place a shortcut to Windows (where the favorites folder is) so you can quickly decrypt when you need to. BTW, I searched around for a bookmark manager as you described but no luck.
